The Impact of Informed Design on Student Success
Speaker: Dana Muller, LEED-AP, Design Realization Leader and Senior Associate | Gensler Tampa
Creating a dynamic university learning environment that embraces both focus work and collaborative activities can be a challenge. Collaborative space in a classroom setting is often detrimental to focus. But areas outside of the classroom are opportunities to enhance openness and room configurations for spontaneous, interdepartmental interactions. Research shows that a multi-modal pedagogy - one that blends several teaching methods and integrates technology - is the most effective teaching/learning method. This webinar will address best practices for engaging students, faculty and other stakeholders in the planning and development process to create a unique and successful learning and living environment.
- Gain understanding of how the design of a space impacts its usability.
